Two-Storey Rear Extension

The local community purchased the Raven Inn in April 2022 to protect the building and restore the building back to working order. #savetheraven The proposed site for this project is the first floor and the land to the rear. The existing ground floor forms a separate development consisting of a community pub. The proposed development entails the erection of a two-storey rear extension and has been sympathetically designed in a way to highlight the features of the existing building without trying to imitate a design style of the past. Materials have been chosen to define the proposal as a separate entity, avoiding a pastiche approach. Large areas of black framed glazing will reduce the overall mass and bulk of the proposal. Rather than trying to emulate the existing faux Tudor boarding we have reimagined the premises with a modern twist to create an amazing new office space that will provide an economic generator to assist the future success of the Raven.
