This project involved the creation of a two storey side and single storey rear extension. Repositioning the entrance door, introducing a wood framed porch and finishing the front exterior in white render, stone cills and grey windows really elevated the overall aesthetic of this home. The use of brickwork and black panelling to the two storey side extension creates interesting contrast with the lighter materials of the main home. Internally on the ground floor, the side extension allowed for the creation of a boot room, utility room, and shower room, while the rear extension provided space for an open plan kitchen / dining / family space. In the garden the clients asked for the formation of an outside dining area to be overlooked by wraparound bifolding doors. The first floor of the side extension enabled the creation of a 4th bedroom with ensuite and walk in wardrobe.
